I moved in year 11 so it was quite daunting.  There’s lots of nice people, making it more friendly than drama – I find the teachers very friendly & respect you, so you respect them in turn.  Different friendship groups in different year groups all get on too & there’s plenty of support if you need it.                                                                                                                       Jen

The teachers are very supportive, I remember feeling very worried about starting comprehensive school as I only had one friend that I knew coming here, but that soon changed and now I know loads of people.  I really enjoy being in this school, it’s very different to Primary school                                                                                                                                                       Olivia

The food is really good here.  The transition days we came to in year 6 really helped, this meant that when I started year 7 I felt really comfortable.  I love coming to form time, we do something different every day.                                                                                                          Amelia

Birchgrove Comprehensive is a very inclusive school.  I find the lessons interesting; they don’t just make us sit around and copy off a board or anything!  There are plenty of options when it comes to taking them, I’m looking forward to starting mine in September!                                                           Lily
